Tip Number 4: Direction of Light
The way light falls, and therefore the shadows created, can have quite an effect on the look of the subject.
If you look at these two drawings, although it is basically the same building, they do look very different.
Personally, I prefer the version with the light coming from the right, I think it gives more chance of tonal values and makes the building a little more ‘interesting’
This is something to consider when choosing the time of day for your view.
